Adding Voice Query Filters To Google Search Analytics Is A …

This might sound funny by now because we've been talking about Google adding voice query data and filters to the Google Search Console Search Analytics report a lot last year. In fact, Google said they will be doing so but then dialed that back a bit, only to later to request more details from the webmaster community. At this point, it is unclear if or when Google will let webmasters filter their Search Analytics reports by voice queries. The latest is from John Mueller of Google who wrote on Twitter the other day that bringing such a filter is "not out of the question."He said:We discuss that from time to time, it's not out of the question. I know folks ask about it a lot.We discuss that from time to time, it's not out of the question. I know folks ask about it a lot.— John ☆.o(

Photo: Justin Sullivan (Getty Images)It isn’t often in these harsh times that the world gives us something to smile about, but if you Google image search the word “idiot” pictures of President Trump miraculously appear. It’s as if the Google algorithms feel the pain of the oppressed. It’s as if the spirits of our ancestors have infused the Google matrix to insert the universal image of a human colostomy bag. If the world can’t accept that President Trump is indeed the face of an idiot, at least the cyberworld gets it.While I personally would like to give this win to the ancestors, according to the Guardian, some Reddit users figured out how to manipulate Google’s image search to ensure that President Trump’s face appears when you search the word “idiot.”They should be blessed, too.Remem

Google has been hit with a record-breaking €4.3 billion ($5 billion) fine by EU regulators for breaking antitrust laws. The European Commission says Google has abused its Android market dominance in three key areas. Google has been bundling its search engine and Chrome apps into the operating system. Google has also blocked phone makers from creating devices that run forked versions of Android, and it “made payments to certain large manufacturers and mobile network operators” to exclusively bundle the Google search app on handsets. The European Commission now wants Google to bring its “illegal conduct to an end in an effective manner within 90 days of the decision.” That means Google will need to stop forcing manufacturers to preinstall Chrome and Google search in order to offer the

In order to make the browsing experience more secure, Google has updated its Chrome browser with a new site isolation feature. With this security measure, Chrome is better guarded against vulnerabilities including Meltdown and Spectre, but at the cost of RAM usage, Cnet reported. For now, the feature is rolled out to 99 percent of desktop and Google will be soon extending it to Android users as well.  If you don't have seamless internet connectivity, Google Chrome will ensure you still get your daily dose of news. Google Chrome on Android will automatically download articles when you're connected to Wi-Fi so that you can read the content offline, Cnet reported.  The catch here is that the feature downloads articles based on the most popular content in your location, or your browsi

At this point in the history of humanity, it’s too naive to believe there are still things in the world that largely don’t upset people. Highly anticipated sequels from beloved film franchises, even when they’re praised in critical reviews, spur toxic reactions from the deepest pockets of the internet. Something as simple as a red coffee cup might start a new chapter in the so-called war on Christmas. Sushi can suddenly become political if the person who served the spicy tuna roll doesn’t agree with its recipient’s political views. The latest subject of such outrage is She-Ra, the princess of power, twin sister to He-Man, and fixture of 1980s Saturday morning cartoons. And what’s the reason for this newfound and previously undiscovered pot of anger? In short, She-Ra is being reinven

US President Donald Trump is leading the search of the word 'idiot' on Google's image search. When you type the word into Google’s image search, Trump's pictures are the first to appear. This is partially attributed to the Green Day song - American Idiot - which was used by protestors during his trip to London. It is also because of an online campaign that manipulates Google's algorithm to make sure Trump's picture is strongly linked to the word. On Reddit, people uploaded a post that contained Trump's photo along with the word idiot.According to a report in The Guardian, Google has refused to intervene in the matter and this has not gone down well with Trump supporters.Google said that it does not 'play God' with its ranking algorithms and that 'subtleties of language'
